Art in Clay @Hatfield House

Today myself and my family had the opportunity to visit the 23rd Art in Clay Exhibition at Hatfield House, Hatfield, Hertfordshire. I’ve been saying for the last 5 years or so that it is something that I’ve always wanted to pop along to, but for one reason or the other I’ve never managed to make it there. Well after finding a cheeky discount code on Twitter by chance we managed to secure 50% off the ticket price entry (of £10 per adult) and boy did we get our moneys worth!

Another day, another Christmas Decoration

Well, it’s a very late post in the day, on the twenty-first day of Christmas, but I couldn’t resist buying this pair of ceramic tree decorations today.

Not only are they gorgeous, but they have a stag on them too and at a 50% sale reduction (just over £2 for the pair) theyre not to be laughed at.

The snowflakes have a touch of glitter to make them sparkle when they catch the light.

Handle with Care!

Today, on the ninth day of Christmas are decorations brought to you from ‘Villeroy & Boch‘.

This pair of ceramic Scandinavian styled ornaments are hand painted and look very elegant hanging from the lower branches of any tree, (they’re quite heavy, so I never risk hanging them at a great height, just in case!)

They were another Christmas gift from my mother-in-law, who has impeccable taste when it comes to picking out unique decorations for our house and Christmas tree.

I have to confess that the year before last, I had a moment of clumsiness whilst decorating our tree and dropped the candle ornament on the floor!  Luckily it only broke in one place (and it was a clean break) so I was able to superglue it back together, so much so, that it’s hard to see any crack – phew!
