Culture, or should I say ‘Paper’ Vulture?

Firstly, belated birthday wishes to my blog which was a year old on August 9th 2013.  I had been meaning to post a birthday blog, however, sometimes living life is just as important as writing about it.

Today, I had an amazing day out visiting the Saatchi Gallery in London.  I have been meaning to go there for a while now and today I finally made it, perfect really seeing as they currently have a Paper Exhibition running until the end of September.  The Saatchi Gallery is such a light, airy and relaxing space, allowing you to get up close to the art displayed in its spacious surroundings – it even allows you to photograph the art (something that I always feel slightly guilty doing – however not guilty enough not to do it today!)

It’s a start…

Forty Hall, Enfield.

Well, yesterday I visited an old childhood haunt with some of my family and friends, Forty Hall, in Enfield. It has recently been renovated to reveal its original Jacobean features. Upon exiting the small gift shop, my husband noticed a small notice stating that the shop were looking to stock more crafts from contemporary designers and interested parties could leave their details at the cashier’s desk. So after some encouragement from my husband and sister I thought what the hell, I’ve got nothing to lose, so I handed in my details at the desk. Even if I don’t hear from them, I was brave enough to take a leap of faith. It also gave me an added incentive to get busy with my crafting again.
