Celebrating with Copper

Hubby and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary on 3rd August, swapping just cards, no pressies (as we set this precedent just before we celebrated our first wedding anniversary – it’s far less stressful and who needs presents when you’ve got love eh? Ahhh).

Now while we don’t give gifts to each other, my family do.  It was hard celebrating this years wedding anniversary, as it’s the first one without my wonderful Mum being here.  My Sis and Dad bought us a traditional gift of copper in the form of a pair of garden torches, which are now taking pride of place in our garden.

Our dear friend Julie also gave us a gorgeous copper tea-light lantern, punched with one of my favourite images, a stag. (Julie you know me far too well.)

Hubby and I always count ourselves lucky to have such wonderful family and friends around us to share the special times in our lives.
